Containment Walls 

With inclinations of up to 85° degrees verticality the GeoCell Containment walls are a very popular option to substitute conventional methodologies like concrete and steel. By simply filling the Geocell with granulated or sandy material it is possible to generate the contention wall with high heights and high loads, with the possibility of creating a Green containment wall, also called ecological containment walls.

 

One of the greatest benefits of a GeoCell Containment wall is its geometry, GeoCell are slim and do not occupy a lot of space in comparison to other methodology that can also be filled with granulated materials.

The GeoCell is popularly used in streets, avenues, and roads because of two reasons: soil stabilization with Geocell and in good soil, to reduce the pavement thickness with Geocells.

The GeoCells once the material is confined the soil triples its holding capabilities in this way the thickness of the pavement can be reduced to half.

Erosion Control

The way to erosion control using GeoCell, is to generate a new surface over the slope where thousands of compacted cells are placed and each cell is filled with organic material that will allow the wall to be vegetated, this is a great release for the material that is placed inside the cell, removing the tension and preventing slipping, producing a secure erosion control with GeocCell.


The installation process and slope finishings with GeoCells, has managed to demonstrate how it’s possible to substitute the traditional road banks and sprayed concrete embankments



Sports fields

Using the 3D GeoCell to build sports fields allows the reduction of the amount of pipeline that needs to be installed, without disrupting the draining system of the field. 


It also helps reduce the thickness of the section used, this is because of the holding capability provided by GeoCells to the filling materials. In this way it is possible to reduce the thickness, which also reduces the volume of the filling used in the field.

The usage of 3D GeoCells for sidewalks allows big cost and time savings due to the reduction of concrete that is used and the high productivity with which this material is installed. 


It's possible to substitute 10 cm of concrete that is used to build sidewalks with the 3 inches GeoCells filled with the desired material and a top layer of concrete on the top and the sides of the GeoCells.

Pipeline Beds

The 3D Geocells are used for building pipeline beds, when it's necessary to reinforce the soil  for it to support the weight of the drainage and the water volume that will be passing through the pipeline. 


The function of the material is to distribute the weight of the pipeline in a greater area, preventing the sinking and damage to the structure or pavement on top of the pipeline. This also allows thicker pipes to be installed with high groundwater levels.
